WWII Homefront Museum

Before WWII, St. Simons Island, Georgia, was a small oceanfront town that became popular with resorts during the summer. During WWII, the island became booming with war-related industry; a naval air station, an airship facility, a radar school, and a cargo shipyard are a few examples of the efforts that brought people to the coast. The community donated dozens of artifacts and shared stories that highlight how this small town played part in the war on a national stage. As the lead designer on this project, I worked closely with the client in an established designs for each gallery that highlighted different pieces of the story, and included many hands-on interactive moments for the many school groups that come through the exhibits. Work completed with team at G&A.
